The Alumni Association
of IGIT Sarang was established in
the year 1986 with the inclusion of
1st batch under the presidentship
of the then principal late Dr. M.P.
Mishra. Subsquently the "Annual
Alumni Meet" (then known as Annual
Old Boys Association Function) was
held each year to induce the outgoing
students of corresponding years. Gradually
these meets attracted old alumni who
were now placed in different parts
of the state as well as the country
and abroad. Usually the Alumni who
served as regular faculty members
in the instiutte also were given responsibilities
of office bearers of the association
by its president who happens to be
the incumbent principal of the institute.
While the staff alumni as well as
the alumni spread all over are the
core members of the association, all
the other faculty members of the institute
are its associate members. |
